With nearly 30 years experience in aviation safety, workplace safety, food safety and process safety, Treyfect is uniquely qualified to assist our clients in meeting upcoming regulatory requirements from the US Federal Aviation Administration and the Food Safety Administration introduced under H.R.875: Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009. 

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that SMS is not an article you can purchase out of a box and it cannot be trained in a 2-day course. SMS is a system of managing risks to safety, and this system relies on a comprehensive network of people and processes working together to make it all happen.

We believe that our methodologies go beyond basic safety audit protocols and identify systemic issues that inhibit the desired performance. By way of one-on-one interviews, facilitated group work sessions, and document reviews and observations, we can effectively understand specific needs within an organization and deliver solutions targeted to SMS implementation.

We believe that regulatory compliance alone does not assure a safe organization or the necessary behaviors that drive a safe culture. Managing risks to safety as an overarching business strategy with integrated processes can transform organizations from being reactive, to being proactive and forward thinking.

We believe that involving employees at every level is the best way to identify and solve systemic issues that introduce risk to an organization. Front line employees nearly always have the best input and ideas about how to improve operations and they are passionately committed to success.

We believe that accounting for human factors in all organizational processes is a thousand times more effective than a typical system centered on discipline and rewards. This considers value in every employee and their commitment to do the right thing. Organization processes must support safe behaviors; re-training employees after an accident does not necessarily prevent the next one.
